drum rudiment based on the drag (or ruff). This rudiment  consists of two rapid strokes with one hand followed by two main strokes with alternating hands. The second main stroke is accented. This pattern is repeated alternating the hands. The sticking pattern shown below is the accepted method of performingsingle drag tap. The sticking patterns are written where "L" represents the left hand stroke and "R" the right hand stroke.
