single ratamacue

[English]

drum rudiment based on the drag (or ruff). This rudiment consists of a drag (or ruff) which is two rapid strokes (grace notes) followed by a sixteenth note triplet and an accented eighth note. The sticking pattern shown below is the accepted method of performing a single ratamacue. The sticking patterns are written where "L" represents the left hand stroke and "R" the right hand stroke.

See more about drag rudiments in the Appendix.
